About Recumbent Exercise Bikes Despite the competition from trendy new fitness inventions, exercise bikes continue to be popular options for home exercise. They offer the same aerobic benefits of riding a bicycle at any time, in any weather, without leaving the comfort and safety of home. Exercise bikes don't take up much space, require little or no balance or coordination, and can provide an effective workout for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. While the same could be said for a number of other types of home fitness equipment, the exercise bike is one of the few that allows you to watch television or read a magazine while you work out. The term recumbent literally means "lying down." Exercising in a recumbent or reclining position allows the user to have full ergonomic back support, without causing strain on the arms, neck and shoulders, all of which can be common effects of using an upright bicycle. For many people, having convenient access to quality exercise equipment is critical to sticking with a long-term exercise program.

Everything it's advertised to be March 19, 2009 Robert R. Jann (Charlotte, NC USA) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
This little bike is light enough to move where you want it, or move it out of the way. It's small enough to fit in a space where it isn't noticed. And it works as it should. If that's not enough, it's relatively cheap and putting it together was easy. After using it for two months now, I highly recommend this bike.
Love this bike February 15, 2009 C. Starnes 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I've had it for over a week now, and I'm loving it. Easy on the joints, but if you push yourself its a real workout. It's also Very quiet, which is handy when you have a baby napping. Was fairly simple and easy to put together, and it takes up very little room. I had no problems w/shipping. Came in perfect condition.
Perfect Home Use Bike, Love It! May 1, 2009 B Holmes (Red Sox Nation) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought this bike to use in my home while watching TV. It's super quiet. It's not a sophisticated model like you use in the gym, but it sure is a great substitute if the gym scene isn't for you. I was overwhelmed when I took it out of the box to put it together...but it went together in a snap (20 min.) I really love it & use it everyday. It suits my needs perfectly for strengthening/toning after having knee surgery. I recommend this bike as the best bang for your buck!
Excellent buy February 24, 2009 Stella1 (near Memphis, TN) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
The Stamina 1350 is an excellent buy. The bike was easy to put together and takes up little space. It is quiet and easy to use. I bought it for physical therapy for an injured knee, and it has worked wonders.
Very Pleased! November 9, 2009 Bethany U. (Michigan) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Not only am I very pleased with the bike (it's super quiet, wasn't too hard for my husband to put together, and is very comfortable), but I was extremely pleased with the Stamina company themselves. Here's why: when we opened the box to put the bike together, we found that the back seat cushion was damaged. I immediatly e-mailed the company and within a week (I think it was only 5 days), I had received the replacement. That was a pleasant surprise - I was expecting a big hassle!
